Holding Space

For one to feel supported. In their process.

While they connect, while they let go.
While they express, while they liberate.
While they let out, while they let in.

While they stand NAKED. In their vulner-ability.
Unravelling their shadows. Facing their fears.

Holding Space for someone is DEEP WORK. It’s a necessity as human beings. To become aware of our surroundings. To not just take care of ourselves, to not just think of and for ourselves. To not just take what we want from someone and suck up all their energy to fill ours up.

To LISTEN to not only your needs but of the other.
Not taking up all the space, but sharing the space.

Letting go of the me me me and coming more into the we we we.

Especially in a process where you are consciously taking responsibility to be there for another. You must know how to manage your energy, not allow it to interfere or alter the person whom you are Holding Space for, but simply using it to create a support around this person so they feel that someone is there, that they are not alone and they are safe to show themselves.

Holding Space is Sacred.

To know that there is someone supporting you through your process. Keeping a distance yet energetically close helping to maintain the energy with you. A protected and neutral Synergy.

Someone that won’t judge, that won’t condition, that won’t even speak their thoughts. That is just there – simply and powerfully Holding Space with their unconditional loving presence.

Such important, essential and vital work.

We are each others mirror.
Each other’s reflection.

And once we realize this, we feel safe. We feel LOVE.
We automatically understand the other person. We empathize.

We know that person has also felt, suffered, has maybe also experienced trauma, has felt love. When we feel this in our bones, the other person becomes another you. And all you have in your heart is unconditional love for this person. Which makes you want to Hold Space for another even more so, to support them as you wish someone would support you.

Which sparks the question.. if you are able to feel all this, if you are able to recognize yourself in another and feel unconditional LOVE for this person.. why don’t you feel the same way towards yourself? Why don’t you show yourself unconditional LOVE? Why don’t you Hold Space for yourself too when you need to, or trust others to Hold Space for you? You are deserving of this LOVE, too. Just as you feel the other person is deserving of it. Because remember, that person is a reflection of you.

If you cannot Hold Space for yourself, you cannot truly Hold Space for another.

Which is why I am taking a few days for some well deserved self-care, to Hold Space for myself.. before I embark, once again, on the journey of Holding Space for another.

Inner retreating before starting the Free Your Voice Summer Intensive 26-30 August ~ where 16 brave souls have decided to embark on the journey of re-awakening and re-discovering their healing voice. And I am so proud that they have committed to this, and honored to guide them while they unravel and shed their un-truths and negative patterns, bringing themselves closer to what lies beneath, to their core, to their essential truth. Especially in these times. We must rise in love and re-connect with our authentic selves if we wish to feel fulfilled and at peace with who we are and the World we want to intentionally and consciously co-create and be a part of.

With love. 🙏💛
